NIN Personalization: Get Your NIN and Slip from a Tracking ID
In the verification trade, NIN personalization (also spelt personalisation) means using an enrolment tracking ID to get the NIN linked to it, along with the enrolment details, the photo and a NIN slip. It is for people who enrolled and kept their tracking ID but never received their NIN.
About NIN Personalization
When a request is completed, your Personalization History shows the photo, full name, NIN, date of birth, gender, height and state of residence on the record. It also shows a Download NIN Slip button that saves the slip as a PDF. Verifyplatform is an independent service platform, not NIMC, and processes requests through licensed channels. Only submit your own tracking ID, or one whose owner has agreed, and only for lawful purposes.
You submit a request and wait for the result, so it is not an instant lookup, and some tracking IDs cannot be personalised. You can follow each request from your history page, and if one fails, the full charge goes back to your wallet automatically. If your NIN has already been issued and you know it, you can print your slip straight away with NIN slip printing.

What you need
- The tracking ID from your NIN enrolment (up to 20 letters and numbers). A NIN or phone number will not work for this service
- A funded Verifyplatform wallet
- Your transaction PIN
- The record owner's consent if the tracking ID is not yours

- A transaction reference and a pending status once your request is accepted
- A status on your Personalization History page: pending, completed or failed
- When completed: the photo, full name, NIN, date of birth, gender, height and state of residence
- A downloadable PDF NIN slip for each completed request
- An automatic full refund to your wallet if the request fails, shown on your history page
How it works
- Create a Verifyplatform account or log in, then set your transaction PIN.
- Fund your wallet from the dashboard.
- Open NIN Personalisation, enter the tracking ID and your transaction PIN, then submit.
- Follow the request on your Personalization History page. Press Check Status on a pending request for the latest update.
- When the request is completed, view the record and click Download NIN Slip to save the PDF.

What is NIN personalization?

Can I retrieve my NIN with my tracking ID?
In many cases, yes. Submit the tracking ID for NIN personalization, and if the request is completed you will see your NIN and can download your NIN slip. Some requests fail, for example when the tracking ID is invalid, and those are refunded to your wallet.
How do I generate a NIN slip with my tracking ID?
When a personalization request is completed, a Download NIN Slip button appears on your Personalization History page and saves the slip as a PDF. If your NIN has already been issued and you know it, NIN slip printing gives you the slip straight away.
How long does NIN personalization take?
It is not instant and there is no fixed processing time. After you submit, check your Personalization History page or press Check Status to see the latest update.
Can I use my NIN or phone number instead of a tracking ID?
No. Personalization works only with an enrolment tracking ID. If you already have your NIN, or only know the phone number registered to it, use NIN Verification or NIN Search by Phone, and only for your own record or with the owner's consent.
What if my tracking ID shows an IPE?
If the enrolment is flagged with an IPE (In-Processing Error), use IPE Clearance. It is a separate service, and a completed request gives you a new tracking ID and a new NIN.
