Get Your Virtual NIN (vNIN) Slip Online

A virtual NIN (vNIN) is a tokenised version of your National Identification Number, designed so organisations can confirm who you are without you handing over the NIN itself. On Verifyplatform you can request a vNIN slip as a PDF: pick 'Vnin slip' on the NIN Verification page, enter your 11-digit NIN and your transaction PIN, and the slip comes back in the same request, ready to preview and download.

About Virtual NIN (vNIN) Slip

The vNIN slip is only offered with the NIN Number method, so you will need the NIN itself rather than a phone number. If you have forgotten it, retrieve your regular NIN slip with your linked phone number first and then use the NIN printed on it. You pay only when the slip is produced; if the request fails or the PDF cannot be created, the amount goes back to your wallet automatically, and successful slips can be reprinted from Verification History for 7 days.

Verifyplatform is an independent service platform, not NIMC, and processes requests through licensed channels. We do not generate a vNIN tied to a particular bank's or mobile network's agent code; if an organisation asks for one created with its own code, follow the instructions it gives you.

Frequently asked questions

What is a virtual NIN (vNIN)?

A vNIN is a tokenised code made up of letters and numbers that stands in for your NIN. It lets an organisation verify your identity without keeping your actual NIN on file.

Is vNIN the same as NIN?

No. Your NIN is your permanent 11-digit identity number, while a vNIN is a separate token linked to it for verification. You still need your NIN to request a vNIN slip here.

How do I get my virtual NIN slip online?

Log in to Verifyplatform, fund your wallet, open NIN Verification, choose 'NIN Number' and the 'Vnin slip' card, then enter your NIN and transaction PIN. The PDF is returned for preview and download if the request succeeds.

Can I get a vNIN slip with my phone number?

No. vNIN slips are only available with the NIN Number method. If you don't know your NIN, retrieve your NIN slip with your linked phone number first.

Can I generate a vNIN for MTN, Airtel, Glo or my bank here?

No. Verifyplatform provides a vNIN slip from your NIN but does not generate a vNIN tied to a specific organisation's agent code. If a bank or network asks for one created with its own code, follow the steps it gives you.

How long is a virtual NIN valid?

Validity is set by NIMC's system, not by Verifyplatform, and some organisations ask for a newly generated vNIN. Check the organisation's requirements before you submit your slip.
